The Best Designer Diaper Bags Based On Features And User Feedback

For our latest post, we looked at the hundreds of designer diaper bags on sale at websites and local brick and mortar stores.  In order to compile this list, we mainly looked at two factors:  Aesthetic and practicality.

In the aesthetic department, it was important that each bag have a “designer look” to it.  It wasn’t enough that the bag had a high profile name attached to it, because someone shopping for the best designer diaper bags will presumably want something that looks great slung around their arm!  As far as practicality, we were looking for lots of convenient compartments for things like diapers, bottles, and all the other miscellaneous bits and pieces that every parent is intimately familiar with.

That being said, here’s our list of the best designer baby diaper bags:

Timi & LeslieThe Timi & Leslie Hannah Diaper Bag

Out of all the bags we reviewed, this was my personal favorite from an aesthetic standpoint, and that opinion seems to be shared by plenty of user reviews.  The straps fall in a pleasing way while managing to stay out of the way of any pockets that you would need quick access to, but the product as a whole doesn’t draw attention to itself as a diaper bag which is a major plus.

The Timi & Lesli bag has you covered as far as practical features, too.  For starters, it has 6 deep pockets that accommodate all kinds of baby gear.  Additionally, there is a hook hidden inside the purse where you can clip your keys to keep them out of the way.

Also inside of the bag is a changing mat with a special pocket for diapers and wipes, making this product a pretty cool portable changing station.

Many of the reviews praise this bag for being extremely comfortable even for long periods of time, so you won’t have to deal with the poking and prodding that is all too common with traditional diaper bags.

Diaper DudeThe Diaper Dude

I had to add a bag in here for the guys as well!  This product is very affordable without falling into the trap that most cheap designer diaper bags fall into, namely using shoddy materials and cutting corners in manufacturing.

The first thing that struck me about this bag was the easily accessible, large pockets that line the outer edge, making it well suited for a parent on the run.  Additionally, the cell phone holder on the strap is a great touch, and one that I could see myself utilizing over and over again.  Aesthetically, the black and gray color scheme does a fantastic job of not drawing attention to the bag’s true nature but still looking pretty slick.

The bottom line:  this bag is perfect for a dad on the go who needs to carry baby accessories but doesn’t want to do so with a bag that is covered in floral print!

JJ ColeThe JJ Cole Technique Diaper Bag

No designer diaper bag list would be complete without the color red.  I think this bag was designed specifically to be the complete aesthetic opposite of the “Diaper Dude” above.

Beyond the hard-to-ignore red color, the Technique bag features a very pleasing shape that will definitely draw some positive attention.  The straps look great and function well thanks to the easy-to-grip tapered grips on the top.

One nice little addition to the JJ Cole bag is the cute, color-coordinated wallet that comes with the package.  Additionally, the bag comes with a pacifier pod where you can store your child’s favorite binky in a sanitary manner.

On top of the features mentioned above, the Technique bag also comes with an insulated bottle pocket in the interior, changing pad, and easy stroller attachments.  This one receives very high marks from us!
